Many members of the club have called or emailed asking for information about the arrangements for the memorial service for my dad. I want to thank you all very much for your kind words and prayers before and after his passing.
He loved the NBBC and NOF very much, and made many great friends over the years as a scorer, officer and board member. It was a great blessing for me to be able to enjoy so much time with him since his retirement, with much of that time spent either hunting, fishing, attending club events, and working together on the magazine.
One of his last wishes was that he could help us get a Scholariship fund established. He has made an initial donation to get the fund off the ground, and he asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the fund. In the coming weeks we will let you all know more about the fund and how it will be awarded annually. It will be known as the Everett R. Brown Scholarship, and it will allow my dad's legacy to continue to benefit children for many years to come.
I know he appreciated everything you all did for the club, the foundation, and for him. And I do as well...
